Volunteering can make a real difference in the lives of your neighbors and community, and greatly impact your own life in a positive way. You give and you get. Here at the Y, we cherish our volunteers. We honestly don’t know where we’d be without them. The Somerset Hills YMCA currently has over 900 individuals, youth and adults, making a difference by volunteering their time, energy, and skills in various ways.
Whether you assist with one project or offer us a lifetime of your precious time, we are always grateful. That’s the way it is here at the Y.
The Somerset Hills YMCA was created by the community in order to serve the community. Our goal to help build strong kids, strong families, and strong communities is made possible because of people like you. We are volunteer founded, volunteer based and volunteer led.
Program Volunteers Volunteers provide support to many programs and services such as assisting with swim instruction, supervising children in our childcare programs, coaching sports and helping out in the office.
Philanthropy Volunteers
Philanthropy volunteers help raise funds that ensure that YMCA programs are available to everyone regardless of their economic circumstance as well as raise funds to support our capital campaign expansion. Special event volunteers can help with planning, promoting and implementing events that build families and strengthen the community.
Policy Volunteers
Volunteers provide leadership to the YMCA through their time, talent and treasure. These volunteers serve as members of our Board of Directors, Advisory Board or on committees.
