"...thrilled with the opportunities I have been given" I ‘cold-called’ the Somerset Hills YMCA last summer to see if there were any daytime dance classes available to teach while my two daughters were in school.  I thought it would be an excellent opportunity for both my two year son and I. I knew my son would enjoy playing with children his age in Kids Korner while I had the opportunity to teach additional classes during the week.  Over the course of the year my ‘cold-call’ turned into much more.   I began teaching additional dance classes and coordinated the Y’s Cheer Program. I am very lucky and thankful to have directors who were willing to take chances with my ideas and give me latitude.  I am thrilled with the opportunities I have been given and I am comforted to know that I can, not only ‘bring’ my children work with me, but have my children in a warm, loving and positive environment while I work.    I am excited to grow and evolve with the Y and I plan on being a part of the Somerset Hills YMCA family for many years to come.  Who would have thought all this would come out of a ‘cold-call’?
