SKILLS & TRAINING

Our YMCA offers courses in both American Heart Association CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and American Red Cross First Aid and Safety. The Y is one of the few organizations in the Somerset Hills area that provides training to members of the community. SAFE DRIVING CLASSES @ SOMERSET HILLS YMCA 

1117132AARP Safe Driving Class are offered in the Gagnon Community Center at the Somerset Hills YMCA which, while geared to drivers aged 50 or older, is open to people of any age. Check this website for more details.

Bring a sandwich, stay for coffee and learn about the effects of aging on driving and how to adjust to driving patterns, such as current rules of the road, how to operate a vehicle more safely in today’s increasingly challenging driving environment and be offered ways to adjust to common age-related changes in vision, hearing, and reaction time.

This eight hour driving class, taught in two, four hour sessions spanning two days, cost just $10, payable to AARP; there is no final test to pass. AARP membership is not required. Pre-registration is highly recommended for this popular course.
